Toro's innovative and award-winning Eurocycler™ and Multicycler™ range was specifically developed by TTP for the European market.

TTP’s role

Leading American lawncare brand Toro selected TTP as a development partner when it decided to expand into the European consumer mower market. TTP has a unique ability to combine market research and manufacturing know-how with the ability to innovate and deliver products on time. Four Eurocycler and Multicycler models are now on sale in Europe. The Eurocycler was awarded "Which?" magazine's "best buy" status in April 2008.

Our role began with market research conducted in the UK, France and Germany to validate Toro’s business case and to identify the customer needs that sparked many of the innovative design features which have enabled Toro to differentiate their products in a crowded market.

We then provided a turnkey concept-to-production design and development service including planning and executing three stages of prototype build and test to optimise mower performance and de-risk final product compliance and acoustic testing.

TTP worked with both plastic injection moulding and steel pressing toolmakers in three EU countries during tooling specification, build, trials and transfer to local mould shops. We then provided full on-site support to the manufacturer in Eastern Europe during engineering, pilot-production and full production ramp up.

The Eurocycler range was launched in 2006 and the Multicycler in 2007. In 2008 all three mowers became the first Toro mowers to be sold by B&Q in the UK.
