A key technology developed by TTP is making it possible for airline passengers to use their own mobile telephones while in flight.

The market-leading Aeromobile airborne mobile telephony system, which enables passengers to safely use their own mobiles on commercial aircraft, is already deployed on the fleet of Dubai based airline Air Emirates. It also features on the Boeing 777 ‘WorldLiner’’ aircraft.

TTP’s expertise included RF design, high-speed digital electronics, embedded software, thermal management and mathematical modelling. The system – which can be turned off by aircrew – is flexible, software-controlled and configurable, and it is adaptable to the evolving technological and regulatory requirements.
