Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Consultant

This can be in a wide range of application areas from self-driving robotaxis, last mile autonomous trucks, and medical drone delivery, to enhanced situational awareness in mines.

As an AI/ML Consultant, you will work closely with others to explore, develop, and integrate AI/ML technologies into TTP’s Autonomous Systems offerings. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of projects, from the early stages of working with clients to design development programmes through to leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivery of finished solutions.

In addition to hands-on work on projects, you will have opportunities to demonstrate thought leadership in autonomous related AI/ML topics, generate internal case studies to showcase the potential of AI/ML, steer our clients’ thinking on AI/ML strategies, and represent TTP externally at conferences.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience with developing AI/ML systems that make an impact on the real world, building on a strong foundation of academic and theoretical knowledge. This could be through a 1st or 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with modules in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, a master’s in AI/ML, or an equivalent level of knowledge developed through other forms of learning (please describe this in your application).
  • You take ownership and responsibility for your own work and for leading projects and teams.
  • You have worked on a range of AI systems, and appreciate the constraints and trade-offs of the whole system, from data input to taking action, as well as those of the AI/ML components.
  • Through curiosity, listening and collaborating, you gain insights about the user, project, technological and business context for your work and this allows you to increase your impact.
  • You can code in commonly used AI/ML languages such as Python, C++ or R.

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000

But before you start, we’ll discuss this together to see if you fit the criteria.
