TTP Product Design Year In Industry Placement 2023

Description

A Product Design placement at TTP presents the opportunity to join us for a year and work along-side experienced Product Design and Human Factors consultants to contribute to exciting live client and internal TTP projects. You will get hands-on, practical experience and learn more about what a career within the world of a product development consultancy looks like. As TTP is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment, you will also work with and learn from talented designers, engineers, and scientists, whilst making your own mark on projects.

You will be based in our Healthcare team and work across an exciting range of projects that can have a real-world impact. You’ll be expected to contribute to concept development and visualisation, Human Factors and UX design activities but also encouraged to participate in all areas of the development process. Along the way, you will also be given the freedom to create your own opportunities within TTP.

Requirements

About You

  • Studying towards a degree in product or industrial design.
  • A proven interest in user centered product development.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take your own initiative and seek out new responsibilities.
  • An ability to be both creative and to make things function.
  • Evidence of your own product design through a portfolio.

Please ensure you attach a design portfolio, this is essential.

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000

But before you start, we’ll discuss this together to see if you fit the criteria.
