If you believe in your product or service, your message instantly becomes more authentic and compelling. You’ll get to partner with the world’s most ambitious companies on projects that are shaping the future of global healthcare. Your work will help turn novel life-changing concepts into reality.

From the get-go, you’ll make an impact. By forging partnerships with the world’s most ambitious companies; you’ll secure new projects for our health tech research & development teams. Your colleagues will be a supportive bunch of expert engineers and scientists who are widely regarded as thought leaders in new health tech. It means your efforts will ultimately help shape the future of global healthcare.

Depending on your technical background and experience, you could focus on either the Drug Delivery or Eyecare Markets.

You’ll be recognised as the pivot point between customers and TTP’s technical teams; scoping out opportunities and leading the proposal writing. This is more than raw lead generation. You’ll also get to lead the process of identifying the technical resourcing requirements, developing strategies, and setting key objectives.

And, with the support of your colleagues, you’ll get to research and identify new business opportunities, including growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services, and new ways of reaching existing markets.

Your work will be the rocket fuel behind your team’s inventive ideas, adding commercial insight to technical creativity.

Requirements

You probably started your career as an engineer, a scientist, or a software developer and grew into Business Development meaning you can still talk on a technical level with clients.

Your experience has given you a practical awareness of the demands of running and delivering a customer-sponsored project. So you understand client needs and can identify what they want even when they can’t articulate it.

An understanding of the health tech market – particularly eyecare, drug delivery, or digital health is important. You’ll lean on this knowledge for instant credibility with highly qualified colleagues and customers.

Your comfort zone encompasses seeking out new business opportunities, discovering new markets, and creating viable solutions to solve each client’s unmet needs.

You’ll have opportunities to travel internationally to meet with clients and attend global conferences and trade shows. Depending on your prospecting focus, you could make between 6 and 12 trips each year to visit prospects. This will open up opportunities to discuss value propositions and help keep you up-to-date with state-of-the-art technologies.

You’ll get to use your commercial insight to drive purposeful working relationships with all the project stakeholders. It’s about understanding the needs of each customer and then communicating them to the project teams. This will directly feed into your leadership of the proposal writing. Your insights will enable the Project Leaders to develop programme plans shaped by the deliverables you’ve agreed with each client. You’ll also have the authority to negotiate CDA’s and ToB’s.

Due to the complexity of our project work, a background of academic excellence is required with a minimum of a 1st or a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline.
