Field Application Specialist – Cellular Highways

At Cellular Highways, we are on a mission to improve cell sorting based on new technology, making it accessible to every laboratory as well as enable new clinical applications. Our first product is an automated high-throughput sterile cell sorter for cell therapies, that we intend to officially launch next year. To support us with this mission, we are now looking to recruit a Field Application Specialist to the join the team.

As a Field Application Specialist, you will be representing Cellular Highways working directly with our customers to pinpoint their requirements. You’ll be regularly visiting our customers on site across UK, Europe and America, leading the application development and ensuring the product is achieving great performance.

Collaboration is important to us here at Cellular Highways and so you’ll also work closely with our multidisciplinary R&D team in the lab, helping to test and improve our products as an in-house user.


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Liaising with our customers and travelling globally to customers sites
  • Presenting the company at conferences and exhibitions
  • Working with the R&D team in the lab to complete testing and make suggestions on how to improve our products
  • Updating the system with contacts, meeting notes, test reports etc
  • Liaising with sales, updating them with customer information

Requirements

About you:

  • An academic background in the biological sciences field
  • Strong communication skills and confident at presenting to customers
  • Competent at completing testing and hands on cell biology / immunology lab skills
  • Flexible and happy to travel globally

Following attributes/skills would be desirable but not essential:

  • A PhD and research experience in a field related to immunology or cell therapy
  • Experience of field applications work in a related area of life science tools
  • Familiarity with all types of sample preparation used for cell sorting
  • Knowledge of cell sorting & cytometry standards, protocols and best practices

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000

But before you start, we’ll discuss this together to see if you fit the criteria.
