Electronics Engineer - Health Tech
Cambridge, United Kingdom
Breakthrough technology is vital for the future development of global healthcare. You could be at the forefront of this race to invent novel life-changing technologies and products. That’s because TTP is no ordinary product development consultancy. Your work as an Electronics Engineering Consultant will have a real-world impact. You’ll get to create prototypes and inventions by translating complex science and new technologies into simple-to-use, patient-centric solutions. It's a role that will grab and retain your interest and attention through a continuous variety of technical and intellectual challenges.
Our projects are intriguingly unpredictable. This means you’ll get to work on everything from early-stage proof of concepts and prototypes through to product development and release. You’ll get to work on a challenging mix of electronic developments, high-speed digital tasks, and low-noise analogue circuits. Although it’s not critical for this role, if you have FPGA experience, you could apply these skills to medical imaging such as ultrasound and X-ray. There will also be opportunities to design low-power microcontrollers, customised sensors, and complex surgical robotics systems.
We’ll help you develop into a consummate consultant. This means you’ll get to grow your technical, project leadership, and client-facing skills to new heights. And when leading, you’ll get to promote these values - but when acting as a team member - your razor-sharp focus on the project goals will be key. You’ll also get to evolve your insight into the healthcare market and use it to uncover new business prospects and new areas for our medical technology consultancy services. This, in turn, will create opportunities for your career development - and you’ll get to explore your professional growth regularly with the help of a dedicated career coach.
TTP will provide you with varied and fast-paced work with a focus on technically stimulating projects for clients ranging from stealth-mode start-ups to multinational corporations. In short, this is a fantastically agile role beyond the realm of traditional Electronics engineering.
Whether you’re in the early stages of your career or an established Electronics Engineer, you’ll need a track record of achievement and academic excellence to thrive in this role.
We’re keen to hear about your collaborative, analytical, and structured approach to tackling complex technical problems. Your CV should cover electronics design activities with a reasonable level of complexity. Your application will have a distinct appeal if you can include details of analogue/digital design, schematic capture, microcontroller firmware experience, and hands-on testing/debugging.
At TTP, you’ll get to tackle problems that could impact the patient experience globally. Here are a couple of example case studies to showcase the kind of pioneering inventions you could help create:
