Production Technician

We are now expanding our team and recruiting for a Production Technician at our site in Melbourne, Cambridge. Your role will play an important function to the business as it incorporates routine but complex micro fluidic assemblies of our cartridges for this unique instrument. 

Our aim is to make cell sorting accessible to every laboratory as well as enabling new clinical applications. With our ambitious business growth plans, there will be plenty of opportunities for development in this role too.

What you will be doing:

  • Assembling mechanical parts and components for final build.
  • Complete component inspections and component packing.
  • Following internal procedures and protocols, especially within the class 7 cleanroom.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised production environment.
  • Advocate for the manufacturing environment and support with continuous improvement.
  • Support with the development of new manufacturing requirements and procedures for new product introductions.


Skills and experienced that would be useful for this role:

  • Confident at reading and understand engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience working within a lab cleanroom environment.
  • Demonstrated assembly experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within medical devices or life sciences.
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and happy to be a team member and support colleagues.

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000
