TTP plc. Full-time 2022-06-08

Junior Software Engineer

  • Location
    Cambridge, United Kingdom

Description

This role isn’t comfort-zone software engineering. It sits at the edge of software innovation in healthcare. It’ll test the limits of your technical understanding. It’ll add to your skills and knowledge every day. And it offers rapid growth, meaningful responsibilities, and impactful work.

You’ll get the right mix of stretch-development and nurturing support at TTP. You’ll be joining a new team formed to build on TTP’s secure 35-year reputation of exploring and creating new technologies.

Software innovation has already created a step change in healthcare provision - but much of the work so far has been limited to digital transformation. By partnering with new clients, we're harnessing today's nascent technologies, such as language processing, personalisation, sensing, analytics and individualised communication, to innovate the patient-centric technologies of the next decade.

Our scientists, engineers, and designers consistently create inventions that impact healthcare delivery internationally.

So, from the get-go your contribution will count.

Requirements

You might be in your first graduate position - but you’re not getting the diversity of worked you’d expected. Perhaps you’re in a post-PhD research role and you want to get into a fast-moving commercial environment. So long as you’re an academic high-achiever with a relevant degree, we’re more interested in your capabilities then your years of experience.

You’ll need to be capable of contributing to rapid research and development projects as well as proof-of-concept contracts. These cutting-edge inventions require a curious mindset, plenty of initiative, and the resilience to keep going in the face of complex challenges.

Our projects are wide ranging and client-driven so we're not prescribing a specific tech-stack requirement for this role. TTP encourages engineers to use the tools and languages in which they are most productive. To excel in the role, you'll naturally need to highly proficient in at least one programming language such as C++, C# or Python.

Why TTP?

TTP’s capabilities in Science and Technology enable us to undertake interesting and complex digital innovation projects which are often beyond the capabilities of many other specialist digital consultancies. This provides TTP with a unique commercial edge.

As an employee-owned business operating from green surroundings in Melbourn, just south of Cambridge, our working culture encourages shared ideas, support, and collaboration along with the freedom to do your best work.
