Global Commercial Lead

At Cellular Highways, we are on a mission to improve cell sorting based on new technology, make it accessible to every laboratory as well as enable new clinical applications. Our first product is an automated high-throughput sterile cell sorter for cell therapies. To support us with this mission, we need to find a Global Commercial Lead.

As the global commercial Lead, you will be pivotal to continuing the Cellular Highways story, using your experience and understanding of the market to develop and deliver sales strategy as well as hire, retain and develop key talent to drive customer satisfaction and, in turn, revenue growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will initially lead a small team of 4 predominantly support FTE’s , that is expected to grow rapidly in 2025. You will be responsible for all aspects of sales and support delivering best-in-class sales strategies to exceed sales goals, maximise revenue and gain market share.

Our solutions service both biopharma and academic cell biology workflow, via the worlds fastest gentle, sterile (GMP) cell sorter.

Responsibilities

  • Support, coach and develop the current sales and support teams to help improve and broaden capabilities.
  • Set achievable goals to the team using activities and sales metrics.
  • Provide ongoing continual feedback and recognition as well as proactively manage performance concerns.
  • Achieve revenue goals and drive growth through sales and marketing partnership.
  • Partner across the organisation to advocate for the customer, for quality and compliance and provide excellent customer solutions.
  • Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions.
  • Provide input on market trends and customer feature/product requests for new product development.
  • Ensure accuracy of forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to the constant shifts in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team (at least 2 years of managing a small commercial team).
  • Experienced in selling capital items within the Life Science market to pharma and service providers.
  • Ability to lead teams to effectively manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes in various time zones, ensuring teams know what to prioritise to deliver results.
  • Ability to influence internal and external audiences through excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable, detailed industry knowledge and solid understanding of market trends within Life Sciences, ideally within cell therapy.
  • In-depth understanding of the sales, sales training, marketing and customer service processes.
  • Confident at using various systems that support and track sales and contract performance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, minimum 50% in order to be in person with customers and travel with sales teams on a regular basis.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Master’s degree in sciences or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in cell biology (especially cell sorting or cytometry) would be beneficial.
  • Previous Marketing or Product Management experience would be advantageous.
  • Additional European language skills is a plus (German and/or French preferable).

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.
