Embedded Software Engineer

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Cellular Origins you’ll be part of developing all software designs for our embedded mechatronic systems. You’ll be involved in all stages of software and product development including analysis, system architecture, prototype design, implementation and test development.  

This is an opportunity to join a true multisdisciplinary team and broaden your skills – you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the broader electronics, robotics and system engineering aspects of the system. You’ll be a key member of our team of embedded software engineers who are part of the wider Devices and Modules group.

You’ll join a fast-growing, interdisciplinary, team with a passion for solving a worthwhile problem. This is somewhere to really make your mark, working in a technically challenging and impact-driven venture, with bright and committed peers, to define the future of cell therapy manufacturing. 

Requirements

You will bring a strong background in embedded software engineering, and your comprehensive technical skills will allow you to quickly understand new concepts and collaborate effectively with team members. Additionally, you will have hands-on experience in developing and debugging code for embedded mechatronic systems, and you will be adaptable in your problem-solving approach.

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, computer science or a related discipline 
  • High proficiency in embedded C 
  • A higher-level language such as Python, C++, C# etc. 
  • Knowledge MCU, and peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART etc 
  • Experience using debug probes, oscilloscopes, and other tools 
  • Bare-metal programming of micro-controllers 
  • Able to read and understand a hardware schematic 
  • Able to identify real time constraints of a system

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000

But before you start, we’ll discuss this together to see if you fit the criteria.
