Join a pioneering team at the forefront of Cell & Gene product innovation! TTP is a collaborative consultancy driven by a passion for cutting-edge product development and we’re seeking an experienced Technical Project Leader to spearhead our technically challenging, multi-phase, development projects.

You’ll be joining the Cell & Gene team who develop bespoke, innovative hardware solutions in the field of cell and gene therapies. We combine biology, engineering, and physical sciences to develop ground-breaking solutions such as scalable manufacturing systems to help fight cancer. You’ll be involved in the full product development lifecycle, from requirement capture to delivering prototypes ready for manufacture. We’re truly interdisciplinary – you’ll be working closely with life scientists and engineers to realise the projects.

As a Technical Project Leader you’ll take full ownership of a project, from mananaging the client relationship to the project delivery. You ensure we’re delivering technical brilliance. At TTP you’ll always have the opportunity to remain hands-on, you enjoy leading teams, as well as being part of the team.

You’ll also have the opportunity to propose and develop entirely new technological and commercial offerings. Your experience working within Cell & Gene will have given you deep market and technology insight and will enable you to uncover valuable new business opportunities and even new areas of technology for us.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who can independently lead large, multi-disciplinary project teams, working at the interface of biology and engineering.

You’re:

• A technical specialist in an area that is translatable to the Cell and Gene field.

• Able to lead and shape high-pressure and always evolving projects.

• Able to act as coach, advisor, interpreter, advocate and confidant for the client.

We expect you will bring:

  • Experience leading complex technical projectsin the cell & gene or wider biotechnology field.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Business development expertise or experience of developing customer relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • An excellent academic record with a degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

If you fit the criteria, we can cover relocation costs up to £20,000

But before you start, we’ll discuss this together to see if you fit the criteria.
