Process industries benefit from the characterisation of what are ultimately complex processes embodying simultaneous action of thermal transfers, fluid mechanics, agitation, mixing and stirring over a range of size scales. This can be achieved through modelling or the development of advanced sensors and analytical instruments that work in-line or at-line to provide rapid feedback on process condition. 

What we do

We characterise production processes using multi-scale and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling. These insights can be extended to develop new methods of multi-variate control based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. We also support clients with the development of new process concepts and in the development of advanced process analytical technology.
