AI Recruitment Guidelines

AI Recruitment Guidelines

Introduction

At TTP, we are committed to being at the forefront of innovation and development across engineering and consultancy. We use AI across our roles here and recognise that they can also assist candidates throughout the recruitment application process. However, we value human connection and collaboration – that’s the foundation to our exciting workplace and culture – so have detailed below how and when to use or not use AI during our recruitment process. Ultimately, we hire the best and brightest people, not an algorithm, and our process is designed to give you the opportunity to show us that.

Supported AI uses from candidates

Research – Using AI to gather information about TTP, our values, and the opportunity you’ve applied for, to better tailor application materials such as your CV.

Proofreading – Having AI review your work to check grammar and spelling in written responses or your CV.

Idea Generation – Utilising AI to brainstorm, map out, structure, or refine early ideas from which you go on to build application responses from, such as our screening questions.

Interview Preparation – Using AI to consider interview scenarios and questions, and practice responses before the interview takes place.

Discouraged AI uses that interfere with fair assessment

Wholesale CV Creation & Application Writing – Utilising AI to create and write whole parts of your CV or application responses to screening questions, or copying and pasting AI generated answers and materials, instead of using it as a tool to generate initial ideas to personally modify.

Misrepresentation – Submitting AI-generated content that inaccurately portrays one’s skills, experiences or qualifications.

Assessment Support – Using AI to complete assessments designed to evaluate your technical knowledge, such as online technical tests.

Live Interview Assistance – Using AI tools during online screening interviews to suggest responses in real-time.

Disclosure of Confidential Information – Inputting sensitive or proprietary information about TTP that you might have been trusted with in interview into AI platforms.

How TTP Recruitment uses AI

We don’t use AI to make decisions.

As part of our recruitment process, we sometimes use automated systems to improve efficiency so we can make decisions more quickly and keep your applications moving faster through the process. An example of this would be an application triggering an automated email sending you a technical test to complete if that was part of the hiring process.

However, we are a company that works on-site five days a week because we value human collaboration and influence, creativity and critical thinking. Our recruitment team will review all CVs themselves – at no point during our process does any AI system make a decision on an application.

Part of our application process involves completing some screening questions. While using AI to support your idea generation towards these is fine, we want your own honest and individual answers. Recruiters and interviewers do read your answers, and they are taken into consideration throughout the process.

Whatever the position, we will conduct at least one interview in-person on our award-winning campus, where we’ll demonstrate to you the collaborative approach we take to work.
